My name is Richard. I have been an automotive mechanic for aprox. 25 years. I have been certified in 6 of the 8 areas available to the automotive industry.I have primarly worked in and around the Houston area most of my life.Most shops I have worked at work on all makes and models of cars. I have worked in a couple of dealerships as well. But mostly in General Auto Repair.I basically have worked in all areas of repairing vehicles. My strongest points are Computer Diagnostics and Electrical Wiring and Repair.As some of you can imagine this seems to bring me the weirdest of the weird driveabilty and wiring repair jobs. I am sure I have gotten some like no other in the field. I really have enjoyed working on cars most of the time, but there are those I prefer to never see again. Most vehicles require lots of training and hands on experience. Now reaching close to 50 I really do not enjoy this much any more, But its the best way for me to make my living.The benefits suck and its really tough on the body.Hopefully I can share some of my experience and knowledge with some of you folks.
